Grizz Outdoors showcases interactive and motion-enhanced retail experiences, created to engage customers through motion-triggered videos and smart stations. The installation includes four motion graphics-driven promotional videos activated by QR code scans and three innovative product exploration zones: an interactive catalogue, a 360-degree rotating display, and a touchscreen ordering station.
This alternate input device integrates light sensors to detect when a product is picked up, triggering relevant animations and product screens. A motion graphic screensaver provides user-friendly instructions that reset after inactivity. Users can explore detailed product visuals and information through physical interaction, mimicking a new-age catalogue shopping experience.
This station uses gesture-controlled input via Leap Motion to allow users to explore a backpack from all angles. Each interaction reveals specific product highlights using animated transitions. Designed for minimal contact, this AR-inspired experience allows users to navigate features using hand movements, promoting hygiene and engagement.
Common but elevated, this station features a dual portrait touchscreen interface showing outfits and accessories. Users can browse options, mix and match apparel, check features and pricing, and print a checkout receipt. This modern solution streamlines in-store selection and reduces unnecessary contact.
This section of the installation features a looping promo video displayed on a large screen or short-throw projector. Before scanning any QR code, the main brand reel loops continuously to create curiosity. Once a user scans any of the three QR codes, a video specific to that product or feature launches. This encourages deeper engagement and visually connects the user to the brand.
The Grizz Outdoors identity was designed to reflect exploration, durability, and active living. The logo and color scheme were inspired by earthy trails and natural materials. Icons, tags, and merchandise mockups supported consistent branding across every screen and physical touchpoint. Apparel tags, social media reels, and iconography were designed to reinforce the adventurous essence of the brand.
The project required product photography of each catalogue item, scenic forest shots, and fashion model captures to showcase seasonal gear. These visuals were used across all screens, from motion graphics to interactive components. Additional footage was captured to support social content and project documentation.
